God this got ugly. I still don't understand why RoverMaster is so mad.

What the heck is wrong with advertising a new product for a Discovery 2, on a Discovery 2 forum website? I think this is the perfect place for that kind of stuff. Why the hate?

Anything new on the Project D2? The people demand(politely inquire?) an update!

Wow! Suddenly I don't mind having been told to shut up and quit giving "amateur" advice and being called names by Rover Master Tech!!

Douchebaggery at its finest.

I'm not mad at all, the thread is supposed to be a build thread, and it is strictly an ad, which is against forum policy. I mean he has a link to his kit and 1 picture of a truck that supposedly has his lift on it, no details, no pics of the build, just an ad.

So it's sorta like having your business info in your signature line right? You know that is against forum policy as well.

Myself and the other moderators let quite a bit slide, in that regard.

It has a benefit to many folks, someone in NJ might be looking for a mechanic so it helps everyone out. Some out there might be looking for a lift kit that has everything in one nice neat package, once again a win win.

Thats a lot of people. I can't imagine you are being serious with that statement.

You should join the NELRC if your looking to wheel with other Rovers. They are based out of NYC and hold many events in NJ.

I can not believe as a master Land Rover Tech you would be proud of this lift. Running a stock shock in the front ? No HD drive line upgrades? As a master tech Im sure you know that the stock carrier is unbelievably week for 35s,

Come to Rovers on the Rocks and out drive the top guy on 33s with your 35. I will be thoroughly impressed if you can get in the top 5 of the 33in tire class.

I put a few of those coil lifts from JC Whitney in mine. You know, the ones you crank in with a wrench. I picked up a few more inches. Between that and the air shocks I can clear my 37's.

No, not even close. Having my business info in my sig lets people know that I know what I am talking about. And that I work on rovers every day. And that if you counted every rover you have ever seen and multiplied them by 10, It might be close to the number of valve jobs on discos I've done. And that I stake my reputation on the advise I give and the work I do. And they can call me when they have questions that they need logical and straight answers for. (Which they do) Do you put your professional reputation on the line in a public forum for little to no return? How many people call you for answers on their cars? How many would you answer? how many could you answer?
