Looking good dude! I like how your building your rig with intentions of actually hitting hard trails and doing it the right way.

thanks man! GBR diffs and 300m axles going in tomorrow!

Installed Tactical Rover diff guards yesterday. For anyone who installs the diff guards in the future, the two bolts that attach the guards to the bottom of the diffs are BSF fasteners. Metric and standard bolts do not work. I ended up tapping the bolt holes to M10 size.

Well done, looking good!

Bonatti gray is the best color on a Dll in my opinion. Had one, but rust and cracked frame ended our relationship.

Keep up the good work.

100% agree that Bonatti is the best D2 color. I specifically looked for one when purchasing my D2. My L320 is in Bonatti as well

What rear bumper did you go with towards the end of the thread? Haven’t seen that one before.

Went to pick up project money pit from the shop and just my luck we found gear fluid seeping through the brand new oem axle seal on the passenger side front axle

the anticipation is killing me, but I at least got to take a few shots of some of the new goodies while the disco was on the rack

Picked up the disco with the newly installed ARB lockers, 4.43 gears, and Aschroft 300M halfshafts. The truck accelerates noticeably quicker now and doesn’t struggle to get up to 70-75 mph anymore with the 35s.

The engine rpm is a bit high at 3k rpm at around 70 mph and as a result the engine temps are running a bit higher. Before the regear, I was seeing temps around 185-189 at 70 mph but now am seeing temps at 195-198 at 70 mph.

with the lockers installed, I did a little post work wire routing for the arb switches.

also, some pics below of my air chuck points with one in the engine bay and one behind the gas cap lid.
