Thats cool Fish, it kinda looks like a plug for a block heater or a jumper cable plug in like they use on tow trucks.

We have finished mounting the winch we just need to figure where to mount the control box, with the factory shocks and springs you can realy feel it on the front end
front wheel well height before was 31 1/4" after it is 30 3/4"

it has been a while for me computer wise but I thought when you start an engine it is in closed loop running on preset parameters, when it warms up goes to open to accept input from sensors

so do I have it backwards or is my engine too cold? driving the temp dropped to 177

Your truck is running to cold.
It runs in open loop until the O2's heat up, then goes into closed loop until you take your foot off the gas, like when slowing down for a stop light, thats normal.
But idling, it should go into closed loop within 10min of a cold start, but thats with temps below zero, the warmer it is the shorter the open loop warm up time.
Bascially it works like this, open loop is full choke, no input from the O2's is being used, ECU is dumping as much fuel as it can into the engine.
Closed loop is using the O2's to determine engine fueling.

I run a 195, you might find your 180 is fine in the summer with the added radiator blockage of the winch.

There is a reason the Saudi Grill was OEM in the Middle East...
