So the cause of your ****ty fuel economy and handling was that half deflated rear tire all along?

Default D2 Brushguard install on a D1?

Hey guys will this D2 Brush guard fit on a D1 with a trimmed factory bumper, will it look weird? The junkyard wants $125, is it worth it for that price? Thanks

Nope, all tires had 44 psi until removal. During Winter Romp tires were aired down but reinflated thereafter. The weights that keep the wheels balanced fell off over time and resulted in uneven wear on the tread and causing a vibration at 65 mph. The same vibration as said speak can be mistaken as a sure sighn your front drive shaft is failing.

Improved fuel economy is inconclusive at the moment. Every morning I warm up the truck for a good 15 minutes and on my way to work this morning I was getting an UG reading of 7.8 mpg. Furthermore check engine codes p1412 and p1415 popped up this morning while the truck was warming up. Work in progress.

You and I have spoken in detail over the phone about that truck and if memory serves me correctly it currently belongs to your buddy and I think you saud he was procrastinating on what to do with the rig. In the most unlikely of scenarios:

1) youll trade me the donor ace rig for my rig, excluding my new block and all the new parts Ive put into it

2) youll provide the garage space for me to swap over the block and all my new parts

3) hook me up with a cheap place to stay until everything is swapped over and in good running condition

Then Id seriously consider making a detour to Washington for the exchange. With a little help we could get everything swapped over in a week or less and Id be happy to give you a hand with your other project before I head to Alaska. Under those or simular conditions Id consider it. Otherwise Im sticking to original plan of waiting afew more years then swapping out the frame.

Is that plan something the two of you had previously discussed? Or are you just making demands?
