I've never tried my UG, just used the one in my Dad's truck.
I took my D2 battery out before buying the UG, the battery since died and won't recharge. I'm going to wait until my engine is back in and ready to start before buying a new battery, as I don't have alot of time to work on it...I don't want to crank it on a new 6 month old battery, lol.
I hope my UG works! I'm going to use my Nanocom for a few days, before using the UG full time.

BTW, just adjusted the theottle cable and everything seems to be normal
Idle rpm should be upper 600s, right?

Remove the throttle body cable and Cruise Control cable then manually move the TB plate by hand. Does it stick? If it does simply remove the TB from the D2, remove the 3 screws holding the TB plate into position and then it will slide out from the TB. Take a scotchbrite pad to the outside edge until it's nice and smooth. Then you can use the scotchbrite pad on the TB itself inside. Then re-install and it should be silky smooth. If it sticks when only connected to the cables one of them is binding.

Aye, thanks for that Dion!
Well, tomorrow is the day. DMV opens at 8am -- gotta get a temp tag, drive to get smogged and then back to DMV to get plates. I'm really hoping i don't have any issues with the cats but i guess i'll find out tomorrow
How are these trucks generally for getting smog? Is it like they either pass with flying colors or not at all with no real variance in between? Or..?
