Russian UAZ-469 Build (not mine)
Here's another "not a Rover build thread" or a link to the build thread. RussianMilitaryTrucks.com ? View topic - Andrews (asg) Uaz 469 Restoration
In the USA we have the Jeep, in Britain they have the Land Rover, Germany has the Geländewagen and in Russia they have the lesser known UAZ-469.

Production date:
1971-Present

I think it looks better than the Jeep! and much better looking than the old Toyota's. But I dont like how short it is. Seems most off road enthusiasts prefer these small short wheel base vehicles. That would explain why the Defender 130 is so rare..... looks aside they seem to have a good tract record for reliability and ease of maintenance. Land Rover and Jeep still have not figured out how to make reliable vehicles.
looks like a toyota/ defender/ww2 us army staff car and maybe some old jeep suv thing all modge podged together to me, as a military vehicle collector i would rock it even if it is ugly
has more style then my weasel

As someone with A LOT of firsthand experience with these... no they don't. They are just simple and very easy to fix with a hammer and "magic spells", but no more than that. Broken hubs, axles, sheared off teeth on gears, etc... any issue related to bad quality of metal/poor QC process with castings - you got it. Assembly issues? You got those too. They're ok once a thorough do over is done and are quite capable, but comfort is nonexistent and reliability to cross the globe like people do in "real" vehicles isn't there.
