Well time for an update. So first off I have my roof rack lights mounted and wired up. Two hella 500 FF's in the middle and Two 500 fogs on the corners. I was a little worried about the performance of the 500s as compared to the HIDs on the Sammy but honestly I've been extremely impressed with the light output. For only 140 bucks they look and work great! I also got my CB mounted and I have two antenna mounting locations one on the front bumper and the other middle of the roof rack depending on what kind of terrain I'm on.

I also picked up a few other parts, it was like Landrover Christmas. I got a new T case shifter, T case bearings and seals kit, and some front driveshaft parts.

Now for the sad part. While rebuilding my front driveshaft the CV centering yoke cracked and broke while I was trying to remove the centering ball. So I called Great Basin Rovers and they were able to source the part and ship it out that day. I had the part 2 days later. Excellent customer service so props to them. I was able get the new CV yoke pressed in and then the H yoke cracked too. So now I've pretty much replaced every part of my driveshaft. Expensive, but still cheaper than having to buy a new one and now I'm intimately familiar with the GBR front driveshaft as well as the man who builds them.

So that's if for now. I'll have more pictures when I drop the T case to install the shifter and rebuild it. But that will be done at my brother's shop in SC. So first I have to get there and that will be an adventure in and of itself.

Ok! I'll have to order that then. The glare off the hood is ridiculous. Plus the cool factor, that's gotta add, what, like 50 hp and 20 f/lbs of torque right?

That new camshaft and the compression increase is amazing, I can't say it's helped fuel economy all that much but I'm sure if she was more stream lined it would be better than my current 15mpg. However once she gets wound up I can certainly tell there is more lift on the valves.

Yup, I like to read positive things about these trucks, especially people having fun and modifying them so I figured I'd join in and maybe my 'build log' will inspire someone.

You're going to really enjoy that motor, it gives new life to the truck and they sound amazing!

That's what I want to know. Seems like a LONG time to wait for a company that supposedly specializes in that sort of thing.
