I had a 97' 900s and loved it.

Always wanted a Viggen though or however the f-ck you spell it.

Only a Saab owner would understand why when driving with a friend, suddenly everything would turn off

I had a 68 Eldorado that everything would shut off due to loss of vacuum to the vacuum controlled *****........
The motor was requiring all the air it could get when you punched it.....
There's probably a control valve somewhere, could be the same deal with some of these SAABs, I have yet
to have that happen but I only drove it for 1 summer.......
The only thing I've done to improve performance thus far is weight reduction & minor redistribution......the result
is now I lose traction in 3rd gear under heavy acceleration.....lol....thus the sticky Nitto's.
All the fun parts are still in boxes........might need a cage. ..... might just explode, trannies are known to flex.
Any way......I'll be the 1st to know!!

I’m lonely..... I’ve come across a couple of P38’s but not worth my time, too much wrong and not enough right. Pretty bored really, need a decent project. Almost bought a Saab but bought an 85 Z28 instead, brought me more poon back in the day... I’ve been looking at early 90’s C4’s...... not my fav but good for screwing around with.

Why be normal??
Thanks, that's a 1972 Toyota Hilux grill & buckets I had shipped over from Bangkok.....
Once I stripped the old nose off, simply started hanging the Hilux grill, needed to be narrowed by
about 2"......the grill is made in 2 pcs, the original grill ornament would cover the center seam....
I had to make my own, it embeds pretty well into the grill!! It's currently all bolted in, just waiting
on me to finish the garage to fine tune. The base of the front fenders are going to be cut free in
front of the wheels only, I'll be spreading creating a wider stance.....probably just pan under the
grill into a spoiler leaving it bumper free.......that's the plan at least! Also doing an exhaust cut
out in front of the passenger front, it'll be electrically activated.........like I said, all the fun parts are
sitting in boxes.....waiting...........

Um, I bought my 85 Z28 in 85, sold it in 88. I was just saying I almost bought a Saab but bought the Z instead.... in 85. I don't have any "project" vehicles right now, don't have the time even if I did. Work and home have been the priority this year, squaring away those. It's been a odd year...... I got sick in March with Covid, recovered and have been WOT ever since. Not sure when I can lift my foot yet, still have a roof tear-off/replace coming and a big fabrication job I'm leading at work. Sleep doesn't even feel like sleep, I wake up just as tired as when I laid me head down. Groundhog Day style.

Glad to read that you recovered my friend. Hang in there. 2020 sucks...universally. I mean damn, Eddie Van Halen just passed (I'm guessing you had some VH tapes in that Z28)
