Liked the first one........

I've debated with myself on tossing headers on speaking of Hooks.

Consult your ECM, make sure it doesn't mind.
If & when the time comes I could see it. Any notable gains by doing so? I've said it before & I'll say it again.....most exhaust threads I've read are dated...

Can't believe there's no damn COIL UPGRADES out there.......we run the same as a Dodge Neon.......Hmmm, maybe I should be reading MOPAR forums.

If you build "tuned" headers you'd see a small change in performance. Most just grab the bolt-ons. Aint gonna happen, no miracles to be had. There's allot you could do with the stock motor, most don't go vary far in developing it. Small displacement means you have to turn more R's right! Lots of ways to make a motor spin faster without killing the wallet. Heck, just gasket matching ports can increase breathing and these have enough meat hanging to do it.

Coincidentally......I had a conversation with a customer on Friday about this exact subject and the miss building of performance......folks bolting parts on thinking they're getting the 20% horsepower gain as advertised, over carburation, etc....it all starts from the inside out....

Yes it does. If the body wasn't rotting off the mounts I think I'd get serious and work the motor over, just for the fun of it. I think if I really get serious I'd take the trip out west and pick something up that I can drive back. I have seen a bunch of Rovers on CL all over the country that I'd like to grab. They're getting dirt cheap. Rangies and Disco's, it's breaking my heart that many are just gonna hit the crusher.......

As previously noted.......Mine's in about the same state of pie crust rust....fixable but it would be nice to put real effort into something that isn't patched up......Unsure what transporters are charging right now with the lower fuel prices.....My neighbor just put 4 tractors back on the road after 8 years of bailing out of trucking due to fuel costs....He's all in again, could be worth looking into over driving.

Yeah, might be cheaper than a plane ticket, rental car and fuel back to my northern habitat....... something to think about.

BOOOO!

So this afternoon the super model got this stuffed under her.......

She now sounds like a transvestite the morning after a hard night of drinking, in need of a shave.....pretty gruffy but I have yet to hear her outside of the shop and on the street. Still need to relieve her of her caddy-let-ick converters.....that's coming!

42" light bar wired up, head unit installed, new rear speakers installed and gas is CHEAP!! It's a good time to own a Rova!!!

Well..........Been able to put a few miles on the tramp........"WOW"...

Here's the deal.......My 2 old stock mufflers, once removed and inspected turned out to be internally collapsed.....poor girl couldn't exhale! So at this
point, no matter the brand installed my better performance is because she
can breath again........I now have a smooth idle and it does actually go a lot
better!

So the Hooker Aero Chamber is pretty deep throated, but going down the
road my tires are actually louder......Here's a short driveway sound clip, not
the best sound clip I've ever done but you'll get the idea..........

Over time, if it bugs me I can always add a secondary......
