So November was ridiculously cold and I didn't do squat. December had been a little better.
I Plasti-dipped my Fox and replaced the heims with urethane bushings.

Finally fired up my welder and started practicing. My first one is on the right and a later one on the left. Going to keep practicing before I start in on suspension components.

And I pulled my rear diff tonight to check and possibly rebuild. The drain plug square hole was more of a diamond shape from dragging it on rocks so draining it beforehand wasn't possible. Yum!! LOL

You've got a welder.... Weld something to that plug and pull it out.

That's a good point! I would probably do that except the axle housing from my '98 is getting scrapped. I actually already cut off one of the trailing arm mounts because of a seized bolt.
The rebuilt '95 housing will receive a new magnetic drain plug and a piece of DOM welded around it as a guard.

The garage at the new house is the best thing that has happened to me when it comes to wrenching...but the Disco doesn't fit in the garage. Lol. Concrete driveway beats grass or gravel though.

Find a set of cheap wheels and roll it in the garage sans tires!
I am thankful I have a concrete drive to work on. My side drive is gravel and working on things over there is a major pain in the ***.

Haven't done squat in a long time. Holidays, work, ice fishing, home repairs, blah......

Today I ordered a pair of these from Ballistic.
Weld-In Fill Plug

Originally I was going to drill and tap my sewer caps, but the cost of the bit and tap was adding up fast. It was actually cheaper to just buy the bungs.
Now to decide how high to weld in the plug and if I want to run wet hubs or not....

Mocked up the sewer cap for the rear diff today.
Need to drill a hole for the fill bung, weld it in, and weld the cap on.

Little more on my rear diff cover today. Drilled the hole for the full bung/plug. Utilized the Bandsaw at work to trim about 3/8" off the cap. This will let it sit closer and hopefully clear the fuel tank on suspension compression.
