Big update!
new wheels and tires on, and got an ultraguage! Also working on mounting the full sized spare, tried flipping it upside down and couldn’t get it passed the rear wiper.
also drifter stitched up the broken bumper!

I believe you have to notch the tire mount in the area of the wiper arm.

Rover's looking great!

You can also pop the wiper arm off the wiper motor and clock it to give clearence with out having cut anything. Wiper travel is a tad different but nothing crazy

So yeah, I needed to do headgaskets so I bit the bullet and bought everything for it, and started on the job... not a idea time to do it but I want my rover for summer so it’s happening...

the heads are off to the shop tommorow, and I got all the stuff In, also am doing a 180 thermo and a water pump while I’m in there, also I needed coils and wires so I’m doing that,

Let me know if you need any help

Which shop are you taking the heads to? I called JC4x4 and they use Colorado Custom Cyl heads which is right down the street -- thats where i had my heads done. Old guy who smokes but probably has done a few thousands rover heads at this point. I think i paid around $600 for a full clean / new valve guides. Which HG kit did you end up purchasing?
