Did you know the 110 was a 110" wheel base and the 90 was actually a 93" and not a 90" wheelbase?

Land Rover Lifestyle is saying the new Defender will be here late 2011 as a 2012 model. Hopefully they aren't changing the body style too much.

P.S. The last year for Defenders being imported was 1997.

Well guys, we are getting a face lifted defender late this year, plus the new defender is already been tested, and will be sold alongside the face liftwd version until 2010. If your been told you might get them in 2011, then this suggests that they are maybe going to update the new version at that time.

You may of course get them before 2011..... just have to wait and see...

(the four door wranger jeep thing looks very strange.... not sure you will like it that much... )

ORIGINAL: JRdisco1

i heard jeep was in the works for a four door unlimited wrangler w/ CRD diesel. that may be close enough to a defender for me!!
Good people like you have been known to be kicked off a web site cause of talk like that. There is no comparing a J--p to a Rover in a possitive note.

The 4 door jeep is MUCH smaller than the defender, and has hardly any space in the back by comparison. The 4 door is a useful family upgrade to the 2 door, but nowhere nearly as big as the defnder 110.

There are lots of Land Rover 90s in Canada. If you know where to look. Try k4rovers@rogers.com This guy brings in about 5or 6 per year. They are all over 15years old, and I believe he is specializing in diesels. I know this is of no help to are American brothers. He also has parts, like winches, roofs, engines etc. He drives a 1991 discovery 3 door TDI diesel, in Toronto. He is not in the LR business. It is just a hobby, he is a carpenter in the movie business.

There are a couple of nice limited edition Defenders in Canada. There are a couple that pop up from time to time. I have seen a couple of VERY nice examples for sale in my travels as a dealer.
