. . . new 2021 Defender 110 D300. Auto. 10,000 klms. (delivered 2021 Nov)
Started engine (this morning) - transmission ON - took foot off BRAKE - and instant scary REVVVVVVING "flare".
Didn't drive it - turned engine off. Tried another 2 times. Same. Rang LandRover HelpLine. (just waiting)
Drove home last night - no problem.
Any thoughts. please ???

 

After my issue with the P400 engine failure I would be inclined to sell it as soon as theyve repaired it? Having said that I have the Disco 5 300D and in 3 years havent any issues, a lovely car! JLR local agents have just come back to me on the P400 saying they'll escalate the matter so replacement engine should be covered

 

Problem solved. NO FAULT of the vehicle.
EXtremely embarrassed to report (after transporting it back to urbanity, 400klms, on a flat-tray truck) was the accelerator peddle stuck under the heavy / clipped-down floor-mat. (a family member had cleaned them the previous evening, before 'packing' our vehicle). Our credibility's taken a hit, but confidence in Defender re-instated. (thought it may've been the Accessory-belt Drive).
