I am interested in side steps for my 2021 Defender, but don't like the silver rim around the factory option. There are all-black aftermarket steps but the dealer won't install them. Does anyone know if the step itself can be removed for powder coating? Obviously I would need to get the rubber surface off of the step as well without damage. Disappointed that Land Rover does not have an all-black option. Thanks...
