in that case buy it and start working on it... but don't expect to use it for casual offroading. it wont hold up.. and don't expect to go 0-100 in 9 seconds. it probably wont go faster than 100 kph and will take 40 seconds to get there.

Thanks for reply , I am aware of the speed and acceleration, of course. By the fact that I was mentioning the mileage of my current car I wanted to say that I like taking good care of them. And I really like the old cars . The new ones have too much plastic and fency stuff.
I found this link ... so if these guys are able to go on the field with it ... it would be more than enough for me. And climbing small hills.

Well if it's for a doomsday scenario, then I call shotgun! Post any progress you make on that beast.

The plan is to install on the driver's side and on the left passenger side 2+2 24" touch screen HD LCDs which are lowering down from the ceiling with some lever system. Then, there will be a couple of infrared projectors on front bumper and one or two HD cameras ontop of the car. Like this I should be able to run in complete darkness .
Any opther ideeas would be wellcame
I will post the progress here, first I need to bring it home.

Cheers,

I went to buy it ...big dissapointment. The engine and fuel pump needs to be replaced. Also the shock absorbers didn;t looked well at all . unfortunatelly.
I had to give up this car. ((
