I saw an article that mentioned the Defender could be purchased flat packed for shipment and assembly in remote parts of the world. If that is the case, seems like I could by a new one and have it shipped to the US as parts, then reassemble it and register it as a kit car? Anyone know a European dealer who could look into the details of this?

 

An importer answered my question. Rover no longer sells the broken down kits.
