I have just tried my normal insurer LV and they can't insure my Defender they say its too old. Its 1996.

Any recommendations?

 

I have a 96 Defender 90 and had no problem getting Hagerty to cover.

 

They specialize in classic vehicles.

I am an agent in NY and use them for all my specialty vehicle needs.

If you don't plan to make it your DD and just drive it periodically for pleasure I highly recommend going with Hagerty - they have great rates and can give great guidance for declared value in addition to the liability
