Default Need Help Diagnosing 94' D90

Hi Everyone,

I have a 1994 D90 3.9 5speed. Recently the check engine light came on and the land rover dealer couldn't identify the problem. They mentioned it may be the mass air sensor. I brought the truck home and replaced the mass air sensor and the light went off temporarily. Then after driving a short distance the engine continued to run somewhat rough. I decided to replace the Idle control valve. Once again the light went off and the truck ran great for 20 min and then began to run rough and eventually quit running all together. After it sat for a minute it fired right back up and ran fine again. I am puzzled. Now the light is back on.

So the truck runs great for a few minutes and then the check engine light comes on, the truck then seems to loose power, begins to miss and sputter and eventually completely shuts off. This has happened twice. The truck will start back up and always gets me home but I have no idea what is causing this.

Any ideas?

Please help!

Thanks,

Jeff

Check fuel filter and fuel pressure and be ready for fuel pump replacement.
