HI There from Ireland
i have a td5 [2000].when i accelerate i get a sqeaking noise.Then i take my foot off the gas and get a strange gurgling noise.She also seems to lack power . Any ideas what it could be? also my horns stopped working.

Squeaks are kind of hard to diagnose over the internet mate - Having said that, I'd check the prop shaft UJ's first though.
Gurgling noises are a bit like squeaks - is this a 'mechanical gurgle' or is it a water gurgling noise from the engine?
Horn is most likely the fuse - piece of cake to check on a defender, it's fuse #5 on my Tdi, should be 10A if memory serves.
