Default Screeching noise

Hi,

Whenever I fire the up engine, I get 30 seconds of screeching.....I also get screeching if I lock the steering over?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Check power steering fluid and tension/condition of belt for pump. Could also be a bad pump.

The plot thickens - see what you think of this video, especially the dripping

You need a new chasis and engine - best to sell it to me for $100 with free shipping

Pretty basic, just loosen the two bolts, upper is a through bolt with nut on back side and lower is a bolt. Both should be 13mm wrench or socket.

Quick question...do you think the bottom bolt is missing a nut? The reason I ask is that the belt has become loose again....maybe I'm not tightening it enough or my other though is the vibration is working the lower bolt loose.

There is no nut, originally. But, you could replace bolt with longer one and add a nut. Also, adding a flat washer to the bracket side will add more surface tension of bolt...which will increase holding power also.

Would it be a safe assumption that this is an M8? I am loathed to take it out as I am not sure how easy it will be to get the new one back in? Will the entire unit drop down?
