Default soft pedaling

Hello, I 1989 110 2.5 Diesel and I'm considering fitting a clutch pedal assembly from a 300TDI as I have heard that it is less harsh than the standard assembly. My question is are there any pitfalls in doing this and is it neccesary to fit a matching master cylinder?

It's essentially the same article on the Tdi's and the NA diesels... you're not likely to notice much of a change, if any. How do you mean 'less harsh' ? If you mean the pedal return springing - it would be a lot easier just to swap the springs than the whole pedal assy.
