So I have been working on a 1989 land rover 90. The brake lights work but not when I turn on any lights for night driving. The tail lights do not work at all. When the main beam is on the brake lights do not come on. Anyone have any idea what I could be.? I was thinking maybe there is a relay not working right or the brake light switch.

 

I think you are talking about a Defender 90? Since the Prince of Darkness is involved, I’d say look at some of the appropriate fusable links. Forgive me as I don’t know the Defender platform really at all, so you might have better luck in that section of the forum as opposed to the build section…
