Default TD5 oil pan removal

hi, all. Im new to the form. I'm trying to drop the oil sump on my TD5. There doesn't seem to be enough clearance. ( the defender is on axle stands). Should I jack the defender a different way to create a bigger space between the front axle and pan? ( i'm doing this to replace the oil pocket bolt). Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yes, try and support the body by the frame rails. You can leave the vehicle on the jack stands, just lift it by frame rails slightly, then add jack stands under frame rail, you should gain enough room to remove pan.
