I still don’t have Defender yet but going to view my seventh Defender this year. It’s a 1998 300Tdi 110 I’ll be driving 3 hours north near Leeds tomorrow.
The 110 looks great from the pictures the seller emailed me but I’ve seen plenty of polished turds here in England over the years.

Wish me luck lads.

Finally might have the 110 back on the road soon. Been a long uphill battle, first tear down engine for rebuild, take head in for machine work and new valves, then get an auto ammune disorder, laid up for over five months, no use of hands at all, went from 235 lbs to 190 lbs and lost considerable muscle mass, then they call and say head is done, they load everything for me, since l'm basically useless, then finally get diagnosed and on correct treatment. Get feeling a little better, head for the garage, drop pistons in, brutal challenge, end up dropping one, more time ordering another from England, but get them in eventually. Setting the head on, just about to torque things down...and notice...no thermostat housing (that "was" bolted to head when l dropped it off at shop), l'm like...WTF? So, call them...they have no idea where it went and said they loaded it in the Discovery that day l picked stuff up. So...after four long months of searching and disappointment...finally have one coming from England...actually two...just incase one gets lost in transit.

The missing part...

So, maybe, just maybe...old Victoria will be cruising the back woods again shortly.

Yeah, it was looking like my build topic may take over the crown as being the longest in history. Get after that 110!

Talking New Tires!

I got new tires installed, finally removing the dry rot death traps the prior owner had. (Production Marked November 2009)
