Default 1000 mile road trip

The rover took the ol' ball 'n chain and I for a little weekend vacation. Went from the tha MPLS up to Bemidji to see some sights, play some golf and jaunt around a bit.

We were both a little nervous about it since I hadnt gone much more than a 40 mile round trip in it. Before hand I drained and filled the tranny (with some lucas conditioner), topped up the swivel *****, cleared out the rear banjo and changed the breather line. This essentially completed the fluids portion of the 60,000 mile checklist. Not much else to do but cross our fingers and go, so we did.

Aside from my exhaust cracking in half before we left the metro, the old beast passed with flying colors! The real bummer of the trip was going to the Spider Lake OHV trail and learning that the state off-road parks require a license that I, of course, did not procure beforehand. Luckily the trails were part of a state forest. Bumbling through 20 miles of dirt maintenance roads gave plenty enough opportunity to test out the lift and tires.

And yeah, its cliche, but Im a guy, and my new phone has face cam...couldnt help myself

One more after gettin dirty. My wife thought she looked "wide" in this pic, hence the edit

On another note, after tooling around in the disco for a few days, she wants to trade in her audi for an LR4. Good grief.
