You remember what the pricing was, approximately?

I remember it being about 20.00 shipped from UK. Paul is very knowledgeable and friendly.
I ordered both connectors and they come with extra pins, in case you F-up.
Makes for a very clean OEM looking install. And you have 5 total switched and un-switched power sources and a ground on the multi-pin connector.

My post and pictures that have been quoted above, are for a Discovery-2, which has a different interior fuse box to the Discovery-1

I’m not too familiar with the Discovery-1 fuse box – so, I had a look through Land Rover’s installation instructions for Discovery-1 accessories (DVD, Navigation System, Mobile ‘phone).

Unfortunately, these appear to be the same accessories and instructions for the Discovery-2, and they show a Discovery-2 fuse box in their diagrams.

Looking at pictures of a Discovery-1 fuse box, there appears to be some unused connector ports – none of which, are the same as the S12 and S13 sockets in a Discovery-2’s fuse box.

I would suggest that you use a meter or a test lamp on the fuse box in your Discovery-1, to determine if any of these unused connector terminals are permanently live.

Otherwise, the previous suggestion of using a ‘piggy-back’ fuse, is probably the easiest solution.

.

Is there a 12v constant power wire I can tap into from within the interior fuse panel? I was hoping to find something without having to connect a jumper wire directly from the battery.
Can you read wiring diagrams/schematics? If you can they are helpful and available to download for free.

Previous practical experience replies excellent as usual.

Recall fuse 12 appears to be hot/un-switched.

Thank You for your knowledge and help on this matter. My Bad, I should have seen that it was a D1. Like you said, the piggy-back fuse connection, may be his best option, other than going from engine bay fuse box or battery.

Toran, sorry for the misinformation, I should have been more alert on the model.

Good idea to learn some basic electrical if you plan on keeping a LR around.
