Default 15 x 8 wheels - what tires?

I wanted black steelies for my white DI. I located a smoking deal on a set of 15 x 8 steel wheels, matte black 10-hole design.
I am going to go with the Terrafirma 2" lift. I want a BFG A/T style tire (half breed for on/off road).

Questions
Any issues with a 15 x 8 on a DI? (4" backset)

What size tire will look/work well?

TIA,
Dave

You should be able to go with a 31x10.50 but you mite have some rubbing on your radius arms with the 4" back spacing. And you mite have to use fender flares because the are gonna stick out past your fenders (damn Pa and there laws lol)

I see you have a link for Randy he's one good guy to deal with. I got an SD rack and some 3rd members to put my lockers in a few weeks ago. We need more guys around like that.

So what are you going to use the truck for? Remember, you have nearly 16 year old spider gears and light duty axles, those bigger tires will throw a lot of strain on them, if you play hard, and something will fail with out being up-graded.

I'll have to check out the issues you mentioned. I ran down to VA to pick them up today. $100 for 5 wheels - I figured it was worth the chance.

I made a simple website for Randy. I am getting paid in Rover parts!
www.usedlandroverparts.com

I am still working on it. I am sure we will get together sooner or later Brian!

Are you doing it primarily for looks?

Sounds like a good way to induce a lot of extra wear and tear and an early death unless you're planning on beefing up the entire drive line to take the extra stress.

What real gain do you get? Depends on what you want to do with it and how much disposable income you got to throw into it.

I clicked on it. Is it just the single homepage? I couldn't get to any inventory or anything. Thought I would let you know.

Like I said, gotta START somewhere. I will be doing other work on it. I want to get the suspension/wheel/tire set up figured out first. Then I can upgrade the rear driveshaft, axles and whatever else.

I am not new to other upgrades needed, just looking for info on tires. Thanks for the tips but I could use answers to my questions please.

That's cool if that is what you really want to do. How do you plan to mount a 10 hole pattern wheel. I don't understand how they could fit the Discovery hub. Is there an adapter in between?
