Default 1996 disco 1 v8

Hi guys Please help.I have a disco 1 3.9 EFI v8.
it's seem to have a misfire on low revs from 1000 till 2000rev.
I have changed plugs champion leads dizzy cap and roter oil and filter used 20w50 as it's high mileage and air filter

it idles great but not sure what could be the issue.

Giving the mileage helps allot. Being that it's in that rpm range I'd be looking at the mechanical advance weights - springs specifically. Your dizzy might need some love'n while your at it. Good idle means the vacuum advance is working like it should.

Yes, there is allot of information on the net if you google search for it. You'll also want the service manual called the Rave - https://landroverforums.com/forum/ge...-images-42972/ There is a wealth of information about our Rovers.

the dizzy has a mechanical spring activated advance in it....when you remove the distributor cap, rotor and cover under the rotor you will see it, you should be able to move (advance) it by hand ....and it should spring back, it may be seized up, broken , or just need a little lube........
