Question 1996 Discovery 1 se7 V8 will idle fine but nothing happens when I try to drive.

I have a 1996 discovery 1 se7 V8 on gas and petrol. I have a serious problem the car will only idle but I have no acceleration. When I depress the accelerator I push it flat to the floor. And nothing happens. And if I leave it their the tacho fluctuates until I realise the pedal. And it idles normally it sit their all day idling also it’s not the accelerator cable. It dose it on gas or petrol. Hopefully some can help me with this.☹️

Pop the hood. On the plenum is where the accelerator cable connects to the throttle body. You should be able to work this by hand and RPMs should increase. If it revs here then check your cable.
