Default 1998 Disco computer reset issue (California)

Hope you guys can help a newbie with this... I had some idling work done on my 1998 Disco and drove it about a 100 miles - I live in California so I'm trying to renew the registration. Smog guy tells me that the computer has still not reset and to drive it another 100 - 150 miles which I did and then he told me it's still not ready. So I went got an OBD II reader and since then I've driven it over another 150 miles both on freeway and city. I checked the reader and it shows 5/7 systems read: misfire, fuel, comp, O2 sensor, O2 Htr complete - says 2 are incomplete: catalyst and evap.

1. Does that mean the system is still not ready for smog?
2. How many miles is it supposed to take for the computer to reset?
3. Does it need to be re-serviced?

Any help/ advice will be appreciated

robertf has developed a piece of software which can re-set the ECU and adaptive values.

It will pass CA smog with one counter incomplete as long as there is no check engine light or error codes. I'm surprised the catalyst hasn't reset if you've put 150 highway miles on it.
