New problem: The RAVE calls for the use of a special couple to remove the pump. Is there a tool that I can use instead?

Big flathead screwdriver and a hammer.

Use them to "chisel" at one of the little stubs on the ring until it turns.

I spanned my big *** channel lock pliers across the ring and was able to spin it right off...
