Default 1999 Discovery SD CV joint

What CV joint fits a 99 Discovery SD? In searching online (ebay, Atlantic British etc.), I see two different types listed. I would like to get one before I remove the old one. But, if I have to remove it to match it I will.

99 is a crossover year, so in the US, some D1s were sold in 1999. Be sure which variant you have (Discovery 1 or 2).

It is a D1. I think the crossover year is why there are different CV's listed. I'm just wondering if since it is a D1 built in 99, that it might have D2 parts? I'm new to Land Rovers. I've been an IH man for years.

Nope. You'll be good just getting D1 stuff. There are some 1999 D2 that have a couple of D1 parts, but nothing important, just things like oil pressure switch.

Whenever you order parts from the US order '98 parts, they are exactly the same as your truck.
If ordering from the UK order '97 parts as the DII started in '98 in the rest of the world.

I have a 78 Scout II...99 Discovery SD, and a 95 Jeep Cherokee. I've had a few Scouts and Jeeps. This is my first Land Rover. I don't do much off - roading anymore so we will see how it does in the snow.

You're gonna hate this thing in the snow, its boring, you can go anywhere you want, theres no challenge to winter driving.
Driving in a blizzard on the highway I was passing snowplows like it was a sunny summer day.
