Default 300tdi conversion disco I video

aHello, I am new to this forum. I recently did a 300 tdi conversion into a 1998 discovery. I made some videos of it if anyone is interested. I got a 1995 disco front clip from a guy in Ca. Sorry im not a professional video guy. look on youtube for "land rover discovery 4.0 v8 with auto transmission to 300tdi with r380 manual" there are 12 videos total. thanks for all the posts from people who have helped. I hope this may help someone too. Here is the link

i bought my front clip from the same guy!
did you take out the factory alarm?
and do you think that the sound proofing on the diesel firewall will fit onto the v8? i'd like to have that on there!

thanks!

Thomas is great. I guess you got the 95 with the a/c. I put the sound material on mine, but it is not necessary. It is really quite quiet. im not sure if my alarm works now. I don't have a remote. it will centrally lock with the key in the door. but I have not tried to see if it alarms.

yep! im still a little confused on how to hook up the a/c but im going to get the engine in and running before I worry about that. good, im going to use that sound insulation. I like it as quiet as possible.

my alarm arms after a couple of hours if I lock the doors using the key. my keyfob stopped working awhile ago.

i think your a/c should be easy because your front clip has it. retrofitting a v8 compressor to a 300 tdi is alittle more involved. you should be able to just connect it up unless the disco your installing into does not have a/c already.

both have a/c. i think the connections on the compressor are a little different.
