He shipped a conversion kit to me in Littleton, CO for $100 plus $23 shipping. Easy upgrade and I don't worry about the rear drive shaft rotoflex anymore.

just looked under the truck the green holes are the driveshaft, the red the diff. the driveshaft pushes the diff through the thick part of the roto.

picture stealer! LOL

This is all correct as I know it (whatever that is worth) but in relation to which side is which... If you flipped it over you would still have the same "thick and thin" sections with rotational force from the drive shaft bolts being absorbed by the "thick part"...?

Nice speedy adobe art btw...

As for bolts inserted I got that. I believe the lettering faces the driveshaft but have to verify in the morning. I have too much to do before Moab march 25 to add the uj conversion. That and I already bought a factory replacement. Thanks for all your help. Watch for updates tomorrow.

I agree with Cosmic, mine had the lettering facing forward as well.

My son and I just had to remove my old one and bolt in a new one recently with at night 20 degrees with it outside in the driveway on top of two inches of snow and ice. We threw a large piece of cardboard underneath, crawled under with two gear wrenches (19mm and 7/8 I think it was) unbolted the old one at the rear diff where it was shredding, forced the driveshaft forward to get the old one out and the new one in and had it back together in about 10 minutes total.

One bolt hole in the flange is screwed, so I got to replace that soon.

That is perfect tweak. I was looking for a picture for reference. The tech at LR stated the lettering is supposed to point towards the diff, I think he might be wrong. I was too busy at work to get it done yesterday but will get to it today for sure.
