94 Disco Cranks But Won't Idle, Rev.
Gotta get to work so I'll make this quick. I can add any info as needed from work.
Took my 94 Disco 143K to the grocery store and when I got back in it wouldn't turn over. Cranked and it seemed like it might be out of gas. Needle at 1/5th tank so I rolled it into the gas station next door and put $20 in. Same problem.
When I turn the key it cranks fine and most of the time you can tell it fires a couple times before dying. Gas pedal is fine, checked the line to the engine, but I get no rev when I step on it right after i feel it fire a couple times. All in all it stays idle for maybe 5 seconds before stalling.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Fuel pump issue? I'd like to try and troubleshoot it myself obviously before I take it in. I've got the RAVE and was going to go threw that tomorrow durring daylight but i wanted to get a head start here first.
Much Appreciated.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump.
Wont know for sure until you check the fuel pressure.
Continually running the gas tank that empty will shorten the life of the fuel pump.
The pump is submerged in the gas, the gas keeps the pump cool, electric motors dont like excessive heat.
Rent a fuel pressure tester, on the passenger side of the engine, on the fuel rail is a schrader valve, check the fuel pressure there, you need in the mid 30's.
