Default 95 Disco 1 Rear A/C

The A/C in the front works well, but when I hit the rear air button, its like I need to have front and rear recharged and it only works when i am going fast. Horrible at stoplights. Is it that I did not put enough refridgerant in the system?

discovery with rear air do need more R134a than those without. It also could be something like the rear expansion valve is bad, causing high head pressure when you turn it on... I'm just guessing, because I never really had too many problems with the rear air on my 96. Also, it's going to make the entire system work harder. Are you condenser fans coming on when you turn the air on? You'll probably need to hook some gauges up to it and see what it's doing when it's not working right.
