95 Discovery 191,XXX, should I by?
Wow - it LOOKS great from those Pic's!!
I would still have him read the "things to look for" so you can look for them, and are able to ask specific questions to know if this has the things done to it. In addition to showing your boyfriend the things he would/should do after purchasing to ensure he is comfortable with completing them.
If all that "is a go" then I think it is the perfect vehicle for what you are wanting to do.

THANKS ;-) You have been super helpful....I will let you know what happened...last night we looked at a truck like the one from Stepford and Sons....the Disco is much more of a swank ride!
The guy who is selling it I think is really ****...he even mentioned that dogs have never been here there...sounds like he is not mechanical so EVERYTHING was done by the dealer...
From the pictures, it looks great. For that much money though I would want the complete maintenance records as well to see that all the major things have been done.
Also arrange a lengthy test drive as part of the deal. Possible give them a security deposit and keep it overnight or for a weekend if you are relatively close by so that you can throrughly check it out. If it is as claimed, it should be a fair deal. If problems show up, either have him resolve them or adjust the price down.
I would also verify that the Central Locking Differential does work as intended along with the Hi/Low shift function. Make sure you and your boyfriend understand how it is supposed to work, then take it out and make sure it shifts from high to low and back as well as engaging the CDL. Take it offroad and see if it is satisfactory.
Then buy it and enjoy it. For there are not very many good ones left. They keep dieing off.
