96 D1 post HG Ground question
Heh al,
My RRC’s and a friends 94 D1 both have grounding straps on the cylinder head. (RRC drivers side head to bonnet hinge and on the early D1 it’s on the left hand cylinder head at the back by the firewall.)
my new to me reacue 96 didn’t have a ground strap on the passenger side head like I expected, should it? Searching the forum and Rave didn’t give me a definitive answer.
I’m in the process of reinstalling the heads so would like to add the ground before torquing everything down and save myself the hassle of trying to get a hand down the back of the engine to retrofit a missing ground if possible.
this car does have a home brew nasty ground coming off a pin on the starter to the engine mount, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a ground wire in a hard to access location was removed.
Thanks!
