Default 96 D1 Won’t Rev

I have a 96 D1 that I recently sorted the trans issue it was having. Now however it doesn’t seem to want to rev. I ordered some new plugs and wires as they have never been changed since I’ve owned it. Replaced the fuel pump, filter, IAC before trans issue started maybe 2 years ago. Driven maybe 200 miles since they were replaced. I did find a vacuum hose that was shredded near the brake booster, I’ll replace that tomorrow. Any thoughts on what else to check while I’m waiting for parts to arrive?

If it has a massive vacuum leak that could cause it to be unhappy. Replace that check for any others and let us know

Pretty sure it’s the cruise control vacuum line.

The cruise control lines are on there own system. They have nothing to do with engine vac lines.

That seems to be the only vacuum leak I have

Have you tried manually operating the throttle on the intake with your hand?

Does it present when cold or warmed up or all the time? What's the fuel mileage like? Does it stumble, hesitate or run smoothly? Check Engine Light on, have a code reader? Throttle Position Sensor, MAF, stuck closed or open fuel injector, stuck exhaust valve would be some of my guesses.

Present at all times idles great. I can’t really drive it it will only rev to about 2000 in neutral and reaches roughly 20 MPH. No codes on scanner. Tried unplugging spark plug wires from coils one at a time. Swapped a MAF from a parts Rover I have.

Not surprised no CEL. Can you snag a used TPS or check yours for Ohm sweep? Should sweep gracefully, if not then you have a peckered TPS. According to the Rave the ECU will cut fuel @ 1750rpm....... As has been my experience book and actual are two different worlds.
