No. Ford V8's start on the passenger side front, 1234, and then driver side 5678. But our V8's are GM designed, so they follow the chevy pattern.

Well the good news is a I finally got the firing order correct. Lesson learned.

The bad news is I still have a misfire at idle even with the new plugs and wires. The search continues.

Kingsborne 8mm with NGK Copper BPR6ES plugs. Previous setup of NGK BPR5ES and NGK plug wires actually felt like it might have idled a bit smoother.

Is it a dead miss that you can track down to a certain cylinder, or is it just a rough idle?

Just a rough idle. I pulled the plug wire on each cylinder one by one trying to find the culprit and couldn't tell. It's not really rough, i'm just picky and can feel it missing.

I get that same idle Auzzie, depending on the brand of gas I use.
After three weeks of Costco gas my truck idled so bad I thought something was wrong.
Switched back to Shell and all is well once again.
Just something to consider.

I hadn't really associated the two.. Thanks for the thought. I believe I have a tank of 87 in there right now as I got stuck in some boonie town with no premium. I think I'll quit chasing my tail until I get that tank of gas out of there and see if mine is the same as yours.
