Default 97 - Exhaust leak from head

I have an exhaust leak from the head gasket I think. I can feel the exhaust blowing out, I can hear the exhaust blowing out, is it possible for the head gasket to go on the outer edge and let the exhaust out but no coolant issues.
I checked the exhaust manifold and it seems fine.

any input on likly hood that is what it is would be appreciated and any bubble gum fix ideas would also be appreciated.

My head gaskets blew in the exact same manner. No fixes with bubblegum, time for new head gaskets, and possibly more at 190k.

That exhaust gas can groove your block or head, if you do not take care of the blown gasket.

you sure its the head gasket and not the exhaust manifold gaskets or a cracked manifold?

I pulled the exhaust manifold gaskets and there was no tracking marks on them, so reinstalled them, I can put my finger in next to the joint where the head and block join and get a very specific spot where the exhaust is being forced out (this is obviously a fast test as it is bloody hot). Any suggestions on how to confirm HG leak and not cracked manifold.

Was just curious. If you smoke you could try and block the fan in that area (some cardboard perhaps) and blow .. see where its gets blown. otherwise, maybe incense?

Out by us, I think we could tell by the vapor in the air (10deg today.. )

also, clean that area on the head, see if there are any soot deposits forming

"Any suggestions on how to confirm HG leak and not cracked manifold."
if you can put your finger on the leak between the head and the block what more confirmation could you need?.
