97 with over pressurized coolant system

are you installing the thermostat correctly? Spring goes toward the engine block. Does it have one of those little 'jiggly' things that make it easier to bleed? That goes in the "12 o'clock position.

yep - double checked that. It is defiantly running hot, It seems steady at 200 to 205 before it spikes. I am going to try flushing the system and see if that doesn't at least help lower the running temp

ended up being plugged radiator, worth noting temp gauge in dash reads normal up to about 215 -220 before it starts moving - everyone should have an ultra gauge
