98 D1 window will go down, but not up
Hi all, I've searched old threads but can't find this issue. It began several months ago as the standard rear windows not working. I pulled the ECU, resoldered and reinstalled. The rear windows were now fixed, but now both front windows stopped working. Yesterday I decided to pull the ECU and get the front windows working. Resoldered, reinstalled and when I turned the key, the front drivers window immediately went down completely, without depressing the switch. The front passenger window worked properly,
opening and closing only when the switch was pressed. Pulled the ECU again, checked and reflowed suspect joints, and reinstalled. Front drivers window now working perfectly, but now front passenger window only goes down, but not up. Swapped switches with no success. When the front passenger switch is pressed to lower the window, I can hear the footwell relay clicking, and the window responds appropriately. However, when the switch is pressed to raise the window, I don't hear any relay sounds and the window doesn't respond. Any ideas what may cause this one way behavior? Is there a specific joint/connection to check? Thanks, Matt

I had a similar problem.
Fixed a solder to correct the rear windows. All was well for two days. The driver's side front stopped working altogether.
I pulled the window ECU again, inspected (all seemed good), slapped some dielectric grease on the connectors, replaced. Bingo! All windows good.
