i did not get the ABS light to blink or anything. It just stayed lit up! I am fairly confident I put the wire in 5 and 15 and turned the key on. why would it not start the diagnostic mode? thanks rich

other than checking which pins you are targeting, I don't have any good ideas.

Here is how it should look. Disregard the 'service engine' light flashing on the left side of the cluster.
