Default Aesthetics: tinting

What do you guys think about tinting your windows?
I live in hotter than hell Alabama and I like tint.
Although something in me says maybe not on the Rover.
I am just looking for a moderate tint job, not like I am trying to hide something.

I have seen a few tinted and some not.
I even saw one where they did not tint the front windows at all, kinda looked un-balanced.

Just asking

I just bought my silver Disco and both my sisters and my girlfriend said I should tint at three different times. I was kicking it around as well, I think I'm going to go with a lighter tint. Some people don't tint the front two to avoid police harassment and possibly state inspection issues. Either way I'm sure with the big windows its probably expensive comparatively.

The PO tinted mine, I like it except that the tinting can be scratched on the inside of course. Plenty of sun in coastal Georgia.

Tint, required. Unless there's a visibility issue for offroaders or something.

Blacker the better, mate.

It does scratch from the inside if you're using it as a work truck. I do but I'm still re-tinting mine.

My D2 by the way has darker windows without film tinting.

One is, one isn't..I don't notice any huge difference even though empirical data apparently shows otherwise.
Light tint is ok but I hate dark tint on cars as it makes it much harder to see what's going on down the road since so many people tailgate.

I had mine tinted all the way around, its a lighter tint that doesn't draw attention and I couldn't be happier. Found a guy on CL did all 11 windows for $150.

noticed this on mine too, all windows except the front two have some sort of tint to the glass already...

i generally like tint but would be worried about it getting scratched up in this case, as i pile stuff into the back of it a lot

I wonder if D2 glass will fit in a D1...
