Default After 27 Years I finally have to do it

Well after 27 years I finally need to change a headlight bulb - any suggestions on how to best do it ? I assume the plastic clips are easy to break after all this time and LR's cheap plastic

Naw, it's easy. Rubber cover might be stuck on, so work around it. No need to mess with plastic clips. The other bulb is probably dimmer at this point, so best do both.

If you can remove the connection without removing the headlamp casing, great. I could not. Those plastic clips will be pretty brittle at this point and a warm day in the sun is preferred, but I am sure someone like Will Tillery can supply replacements.

I’m not sure if the D1 is the same as my D2, but I also find it easier to remove the unit to change a bulb. Yes the plastic clips break easily at this point. For the D2 anyway they are readily available and cost next to nothing.
