Alternator Upgrade

I thought the P38 was a 150A alternator? That's what I now have in my D2.

I think it's 150 amp (ERR5834) from 1999 - 2002, and a 120 amp ( AMR2938) from 1995 - 1998

And since it's a 96 GEMS the P38 GEMS would bolt up without a tear, expletive nor drama. What happened to Mean Green or a GM alternator swap?

If u have gems engine need gems alternator, tach runs off alternator, i had got a d2 one but cant remember why i did not use it, i guess u can make most any work if it bolts up but wont have a tach unless its on a gems and i dont know what that does for the ecm if u have no tach signal
