Another New guy with questions, yes I used search
The Discovery with the 4.0 does the best on 93 octane. And the difference per gallon between 87 octane and 93 octane is not worth the agony you will go thru to try and save a few bucks on gas fillups.
You are dead wrong on that. Use the lower octanes, it will not burn as cleanly as the 93 octane will in these engines. They will not run as well, get worse gas milage and the inside of the engine will get a lot nastier a lot quicker. It has a lot to do with the actual combustion temperature of the gas in the cylinders. Use what ever you want in yours but you are giving out bad advice. I have used all three grades at various times and the 93 octane does the best. And stay with the main brands as well.

As far as the overhead pockets, I may have a set for you. I totally removed my headliner and do not plan to reuse it.
I think the pockets from mine are in my garage along with some other trim pieces. Mine were completely flat and tight as if they had never been used.
I will see if I can find them and let you know. They would look good in yours since it is pretty much pristine. Mine has it's own unique character and I do not need them.
As far as the tach, I would suggest you buy one of those Ultra Guage Code reader/scanner units. That will take care of giving you RPM readings, engine temps, and a multitude of other functions. I plan to get one soon.
I had changed alternators due to a jumpy tach, problem remained. I put my original alternator back in. Tonight, the tach did not work on the way to the store, did not work on the way home either, but I shut it off, cranked it right back up and it sprung back to life and tracked fine.
It's been doing that for months. UltraGuage will take care of that.

MPG and tire life, the more PSI the cooler the tire runs, the cooler it runs the longer it will last.
The harder the tire the less rolling resistance, the less rolling resistance the better the MPG.

Premium fuel is REQUIRED per the owners manual.
Another thing on the tires is the weight load rating. Most of the serious off-roaders and several others will advise the use of the higher load range tires due to the vehicle weight and the vehicle being so top heavy.
You do not want something designed for a typical passenger car since these weigh over two tons empty. With the higher load limits, you can run a higher air pressure.
Do not exceed the ratings of the tires.
Keep in mind they are top heavy. Do not ****** it around corners at high speeds.
One fellow totalled his by allowing it to drift slightly off to the right then suddenly snatching it back onto the road as he over reacted to his problem. When he snatched it suddenly, he lost control and flipped it on it's side. There are not sports cars and they handle differently than most vehicles. (Before I bought my Discovery, I drove a Porsche 928) Big difference.
The top is all steel. That coupled with the height makes it very top heavy. They will roll over quicker than most people realize. If you want to see some real screw ups, go to Utube and search for Land Rover. You will see some incredible bad decisions made by people thinking that just because they are in a Land Rover they can go anywhere they want to, it is funny how bad some of them get stuck or flip and roll on inclines they have no business on.

In all due respect Danny I do not think these are top heavy trucks, the body is aluminum, all of the weight is down in the frame and below.
These trucks can run a 45% grade all day long, granted that is with no lift and good springs and tires.
I think what makes these trucks "top heavy" is when you put on a lift, by doing that you raise the overall height of the truck which raises its center of gravity.

Next interior fix is passenger seat switch.
I an going to take a look at the ultra gauge. My battery doesnt need a charge. nothing is dim etc. Ill throw a multimeter on her tomorrow.
I just purchased the ultra gauge say it will be here in two or three days.....
Nice add btw.
Spike, yup got that, we swapped yesterday adjusted and unplugged until I buy a good one to use. Wife likes a tidy spot to drive and with baby seat going in the back I want to make sure the seat works as made.
