Default Anyone have the Treadwright Axiom or Wardens??

Considering buying 1 of the 2 once I get my 2" lift kit in and I don't want to go M/T's because unfortunately I don't get my truck dirty as often as I'd like to, so the Guard Dogs are out unless several can convince me they are mildly mannered on road.

Looking to go 245/75's in an A/T and the Treadwright prices and reviews can't be beat from what I've seen...but I'm open to contrasting opinions.

I've heard good things about the General Grabber AT2's and like the look, but their price has gone up lately, whereas you could get 4 shipped for around $500 or less months ago.

Thanks in advance,
DIIB

I'm running 255/70R16 Treadwright Pumas on stock suspension with a camel cut and couldn't be happier. They have held up great after 12k on them and they perform admirably off road. They are on BFG A/T carcasses and with the tread almost everyone thinks they are real BFGs. My next set of tires will def be Treadwrights for sure.

Perfect, exactly what I want. Personal testimony. I guess I didn't mention the Puma's because they didn't look quite as good on the website...do you mind posting a picture of your ride?

Either way, much appreciated. Anyone else rocking TreadWright's that wants to chime in to effect my decision?

That picture has the front fenders opened up with the Disco II flares.

With a camel cut the 255/70s will flex pretty good with no rubbing

I know more then 12 people who use Treadwright tires and they all love them, great traction, seen to be long lived and the prices is great.
I plan on buying a set as soon as I resolve my trucks other issues.

Hey me too! And that's exactly what I always hear from anyone with TreadWright's, hence my trying to decide between which tread's to get!

I feel set with 245/75 AT's. Only question is...Axiom? Puma? or Warden?
I'm leaning Warden.

I don't have personal experience, but a co-work of mine had the 265/75/16 Howlers, and he loved them.

Also CUpgt mentioned the pumas looking like BFG all terrains, has anyone notices how much the guard dogs look like the Goodyear MTR (the old style). I wonder if they bought the old molds when goodyear changed the tread pattern.

I thought I would post a couple pictures of their tread designs.
The first one is my favorite for a great all year tire for around $80.

Does anybody know what kind of mileage you can get out of a set of their m/ts? My disco isn't a daily driver. I've had it for two years and put 10,000 on it. Can I get away with m/ts? How long do you think they would last? The guard dogs or the howlers.
