Default ARB Bumper

Hi Guys,

I am wondering if this bumper required adapters (crush cans?) as you can see in the pictures before my sister sold the car, I had removed the ARB bumper but I might have forgotten to remove the adapters (Not sure if they came with the bumper originally)..if I do need them where can I get another set of adapters?

Looks like they’re still mounted on that D1. You can contact ARB & go from there.

I just picked up a ARB bumper from the pick a part for 80.00 didn't have crush cans on it nor on the D1 that I removed it from. I just installed it on my D1 without crush cans and it fit perfectly. So you most likely don't need it.

ARB makes airbag compatible (first bumper pictured in this thread) which requires ARB's own crush cans. Then you have the ARB in the second set of pics that is not airbag compatible & it bolts directly onto the LR without crush cans.

My 97 didn’t have crush cans. Direct bolt on.

The first ARB pictured is actually a D2 unit or a D1 airbag compatible unit. It will bolt up no problem with the correct ARB crush cans. The second ARB is a D1 non airbag compliant unit like I have on my 99 D2 & yep it’s a direct bolt on.
